Social

Along with participating in Kappa's national philanthropy (Reading is Fundamental) and regularly engaging in activities around campus, the Kappa ladies of TCU engage in several social functions ranging from mixers to formals to themed dress-up parties.

Victory

A semi-formal co-hosted with a different fraternity each year. Kappas are encouraged to bring dates.

Boot Scoot N’Boogie (Parents Weekend)

In October, Kappa hosts a party with a fraternity, their parents and ours in a venue in Fort Worth's historic Stockyards! The party is always "Texas" themed and cowboy boots are strongly encouraged.

Best of Both Worlds

A formal hosted at the end of the fall semester with Delta Delta Delta sorority. Kappas encouraged to bring dates.

Kappa Kaddy Golf Tournament (Dad’s Weekend)

In April, Kappas invite their fathers to participate in an all day golf tournament rivaling against other Kappa sisters and their fathers.

Owloween

Owloween is a Halloween mixer Kappa has with Chi-O.

Retro Ski Lodge

Retro Ski Lodge is thrown with Phi Delt and has become a traditional right-before-finals party where everyone dresses up in retro ski clothing

Kite and Key

An anonymous invite from a Kappa is sent to a "crush" (sometimes more than one) asking them. This is a fairly new event we have started doing with Theta. The theme has changed in the past couple of years and this year the theme will be "Harley Hair and Biker Wear"

Big Sis/Little Sis Reveal

After Bid Day, a Kappa in the sophomore pledge class secretly pairs up with a new member. Through the course of three weeks, the new Kappa has no idea who her "Big" is while showered with small gifts and notes. On Big Sis/Little Sis Reveal, the new member's "Big" is revealed in an unique and different way each year. After the reveal, the "Bigs" take their "Littles" out to dinner.

Sisterhood Events

In addition, our Sisterhood events allow us Kappas to spend quality time with one another and strengthen our bonds as sisters. As a chapter, we have gone bowling, ice skating, attended movie screenings and learned healthy eating options from a session with a nutritionist. We ended this past semester with a party at a roller rink! We can't wait for new sisterhood events to come!

Kappas Abroad

Many Kappas take the summer or the semester to venture out to various abroad locations such as: Italy, Spain, France, England, Germany and Argentina. Some even take internship opportunities for a semester in D.C. and New York! Members abroad stay close to chapter via Skype and are updated of chapter happenings through emails and Twitter.
